discussion

Looks like there won't be a post today, as I have work to do. As long as I'm out, how about speaking out about what's on your mind, with 6th here in nine days?

If detachments are available in all games of 6th, a plague marine CSM list with Epidemius and some PB's and Nurglings would rock my socks off. Finally the rule about all kills by followers of nurgle pays off!

Also interested in the mayhem that flying MC's will be able to wreak. Whether or not it makes the list more viable, a 3 flying Nurgle DP list is definitely going to be on the horizon for me. i already have the metal Nurgle DP model and an inquisitor scale marine I have diligently sculpting robes onto (Mortarion :D ) so I'm one short, should be easy enough to resolve.

Oh yeah, my Deathguard will probably be dusted off for this very reason, even though the rumored lack of cult terminators has hurt me emotionally.
Plaguemarines which ignore armor, wound on a 2+ and FNP on 3+ are quite the terrifiying idea, especcially if backed up by a pair of Chaos Contemptors or Decimators with butchercannons. Nurgle all the way, baby! *guitar_solo*
Oh yeah, a marked Decimator with a butcher cannon will rack that tally up quick. The only hard point is finding the points for all the awesome Chaosness!!!!

I also really like the idea of being able to air drop a great unclean one into my opponents lines, even if the competitive choice will be Epidemius.

Also, really glad my CSM list has a sorcerer leading it, cant wait to see the biomancy rules.
I'm doing the same type thing with the possibility of a 5 Flying Nurgle Daemon Prince bit of sillyness, unless detachments are limited to 1 slot per detachment in which case I will be right there with you with the 3 DP list.
You know, the more I think about it, the better Daemons seem to become. Yeah, they are a fairly terrible mainline force, but as support for CSM they would be absolutly amazing. Deepstriking all auxiliary troops should make for some fun times by itself.
Your flank is about to falter? Just shock in some Bloodcrushers and you're good. Dug-in defenders giving you a hard time? Daemonettes got your back.
I am way more excited about this than I thought I'd be.

Completely with you, I can't wait for the book, sadly I ordered from a 3rd party seller so I won't get it till the monday after. I'm sure there will be plenty of info about it before then though. I'm just hoping that you can DS off a CSM icon, because my daemon bomb list will be a lot more awesome if I can shoot my plagues forward and drop a great unclean one into the middle of a melee.

I wonder if blight drones will be in the new book, or whether 6th will include some system for bringing in FW units, because I just got 2 in the post and greatly wish to use them.
I doubt blight drones will become baseline, because GW not too long ago stated that there would be less infriction between the them and FW. That is also the reason most people have given up on chaos dwarfs as a regular GW army. However, I am pretty sure that most FW stuff is legal now, so I don't see any reason not to field them. Either way, most players tend to be okay with those units, so just go nuts.
I, too, hope that icons work across chaos armies.
